In the park, Spruce Lane Farm recreates rural life in the last century. For your dining pleasure - take the time to savour the flavour! Everything from tandoori to teriyaki, salmon to salsa, afternoon tea, sidewalk dessert cafes, even authentic English pubs that serve very credible bitter. Oakville's unique, distinctive downtown is a perfect marriage of contemporary style and traditional charm.
This beautiful waterfront community, founded in 1827, is fortunate to have two rivers running through the town: the 12 Mile Creek emptying into Lake Ontario at the Old Village of Bronte and the 16 Mile Creek, six kilometers to the east. Its main attractions include two harbours, the Canadian Open Golf Tournament and its downtown area, where 19th century buildings now house many boutiques and a large selection of restaurants. Trails are abundant along the waterfront to ensure that residents and visitors have access to the water.

Oakville's location is most definitely its major asset. It lies right on the path between the economic heartland of Canada and the economic heartland of the United States. Strategically located on Canada's most traveled highways. The Q.E.W. (Queen Elizabeth Way), connecting Oakville to Hamilton and Toronto, and the international airport are important considerations to the many businesses that call Oakville - Home..
Oakville is a charming town with gorgeous parks, historic buildings, exciting theatre and entertainment, an inspiring museum, art galleries, and numerous golf courses. The spectacular Glen Abbey Golf Club was designed by golf great, Jack Nicklaus, with Sixteen Mile Creek rambling through it. It is also host to an annual Waterfront Festival and Jazz Festival.
